2:00 PM to 5:30 PM

A two-part event on October 30 and 31

What is ABOLITION? It can seem like a scary big word, but the real terror is in how our communities — especially our Black communities — are policed and surveilled by the state. This October 30 and 31, join Interference Archive for aBOOlition, a Halloween-themed exploration of the history and future of abolition, in conjunction with our Defend/Defund exhibit.

On October 30, we’ll be working with handmade zines and zine templates to talk about what abolition can mean for us. Swing by from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM and make a couple of zines that you can take back to your neighborhood — what do you want to abolish on your block?

On October 31, we’ll be handing out our new handmade zines, and inviting folks to check out the Defend/Defund exhibit while they’re on their Hallow’s Eve treat trot. Join us from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM for a spooktacular evening, where we celebrate the tools we have to protect us from the real monsters (yes, we mean the cops!).
