Archival Workshop: 1970s “People’s Papers”

Join us for an evening in the archives! This will be an informal workshop on the topic of 1970s print culture and urban history with a specific focus on grassroots and activist newspapers from NYC in that period.

A visiting PhD researcher, Arielle (@peoplespapers), will share an introduction to (and primarily her enthusiasm for!) the topic based on her archival work on 1970s London and NYC and then we’ll open it up into a collective discussion, brainstorming/resource-sharing and — of course! — an exploration of the archive.
