6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Come out to the Archive for an all-ages hands-on workshop, facilitated by Nika Dubrovsky and inspired by the release of Nika and David Graeber’s new book Cities Made Differently. The workshop offers a space for people of all ages to reconsider the possibilities of human cities through visual dialogue. We will be setting out large tabletop posters for all to draw, write, erase, contemplate, and discuss together what a city is and what it could be. Read more about the workshop here.
Drafted over decades out of a dialogue between artist and author Nika Dubrovsky, the late anthropologist and activist David Graeber, and Nika’s then four-year-old son, Cities Made Differently is full of playful graphics, provocative questions, and curious facts that investigate what makes a city and how we might make them differently. The free interactive version is available here: https://a4kids.org/book/future-city/.
This event is free to attend. Please RSVP at the link here. Light snacks and beverages will be provided.
