Four Panel Comics Workshop

In this three hour workshop, we will have in-session warm up drawing, a short lecture and discussion on the language of sequential art in four panel comics, and time to create and share your own four panel comic.

Warm up drawing worksheets and paper will be provided. Please bring your favorite drawing tools!

Each participant will walk away with their own four panel comic, building off the ideas and skills learned in the workshop.

After completing this workshop, you will be able to:

-Identify concepts of closure, choice of image, frame, moment and word in a comic.

-Explore different ways of telling a story through panel arrangement.

-Ask generative questions of your peers and provide constructive feedback.

-Write and draw a four panel comic using simple illustrations.
