Interference Archive, 314 7th St, Brooklyn, NY 11215, USACome Create With Us!
Join us for a collaborative day of art-making in celebration of Trans Day of Visibility. Together, we’ll create t-shirts, posters, buttons, zines, and other materials to uplift and support our gender-expansive community.
This is a joyful opportunity to:
- Connect with neighbors and new friends
- Learn about vital work happening in our community
- Create and gather materials to show visible solidarity on Trans Day of Visibility and beyond
Free & Open to All
The event is free and everyone is welcome! All materials created will be available at no cost.
While not required, donations are warmly welcomed to help fund future Propaganda Parties (in person or via the support link below).
Bring Your Own Canvas
We’ll have a limited number of t-shirts available, but we encourage you to bring your own t-shirts, tote bags, or other fabric items to print on!
Who’s Invited?
Everyone! Come with friends, bring your family, or arrive solo and meet new people.
Representatives from like-minded organizations are encouraged to bring flyers, postcards, or other materials to share your work and help others connect with your cause. This is a great space to connect and build relationships!
Our Organizers
The Gender-Expansive Families Propaganda Party is organized by PS39’s Parents of Gender Expansive Kids (POGEK) in collaboration with Interference Archive, with additional support from PS39’s Parent Association.
What Is a Propaganda Party?
A Propaganda Party is a gathering where artists, activists, organizations, and community members come together to create posters, t-shirts, buttons, and other materials—while building relationships in a supportive, creative environment.
Why “Propaganda”?
The word “propaganda” shares roots with “propagate,” meaning to spread ideas. While this word has taken on negative connotations in modern times, we’re reclaiming it!
Our daily lives are filled with materials that claim to be “neutral” but often reinforce existing power structures. Our work is not neutral. We are intentionally and proudly creating materials that support and celebrate our gender-expansive community.
