Interference Archive, 314 7th St, Brooklyn, NY 11215, USALed by Grey from Pop Gym, we’ll be covering the basics: stretching, conditioning, technique, and theory, with the hope that participants will leave with some super useful foundations that they can add to their self-defense toolkits.
Mix that in with movement and pad-hitting and you’ll have an accessible and confidence-boosting good time for all. This workshop is great for beginners, meant to share some simple-to-pick-up techniques that you can practice on your own or with friends!
Grey (He/Him, They/Them) has been an instructor with Pop Gym since 2017, and has been co-organizing and leading self-defense workshops in NYC since 2015. They have a background Tae-Kwon-Do, as well as Muay Thai, Boxing, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. They enjoy creating spaces in which participants can better learn to understand their self-defense abilities and brainstorming individual and collective ways we can defend ourselves and our communities.
Registration is required.
Interference Archive is ADA accessible and on the ground floor. There are two single-stall all gender ADA-accessible bathrooms. Masks are encouraged, but not required (and we usually have some available).
