Audio Interference and the Brooklyn Public Library invites you to celebrate the launch of Places We Gather, an audio walking tour that shares stories of community care and mutual aid in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. To launch the project, join us for a panel discussion with Fort Greene residents who are featured on the tour. The speakers will reflect on important gathering places, changes in the neighborhood, and their memories of individuals coming together to support one another. Snacks and refreshments will be served.
Starting on August 20, the Places We Gather audio tour will be available digitally on the Brooklyn Public Library website and via listening devices that can be checked out at the Clinton Hill Library branch.
Places We Gather is is a collaboration between Audio Interference, the podcast produced by volunteers at Interference Archive, and Brooklyn Public Library. The project is a BKLYN Incubator project.
BKLYN Incubator is supported by generous funding provided by the Charles H. Revson Foundation.
