MayDay Rooms is an archive, safe haven and organising space for radical social movements based in London, England. The MayDay Rooms’ primary mission is to connect the radical histories contained in its archive to contemporary moments of class conflict, to explore what lessons, strategies or cautions can be extrapolated from the past in order to aid current organising needs. Through ongoing projects and through public programming MayDay seeks to translate its archival holdings into collective encounters, principled discussion, and political use.
Over the last decade MayDay Rooms has become a vital resource for social movements from across London and further afield, providing meeting space and a set of educational resources that have strengthened the radical left and myriad campaign groups.
Join staff and volunteers from MayDay Rooms on the evening of the …. to discuss MayDay’s ongoing work. We will be joined by friends from Agit Press and Dope magazine who will discuss how their work intersects with this archive and MayDay’s core mission.
A one hour panel discussion, followed by Q and A.
