Palestine Through Dance: Film Watch Party

Join Dancers for Palestine for a screening and discussion of short films exploring dance in Palestine and its diaspora! Films will include:

Coming Home, directed by Naim Naif and Margot Bowman, is an intimate portrait of Freedom Dabka Group, a group of Palestinian-American performers who use the traditional Dabka dance as a means to connect to their community, their culture, and each other.

Camps Breakerz, directed by Antoine Schierer, centers around the Camps Breakerz Crew in Gaza. Established in Nusairat refugee camp in 2004, Camps Breakerz shares the art of Hip Hop with kids as form of expression and healing in spite of violence and displacement.
