7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Join Interference Archive’s Education Working Group for a hands on workshop and discussion about political education. Using archival materials as a jumping off point, workshop attendees will be invited to explore archival ephemera and discuss the ways that movement material can be integrated into different teaching contexts.
During the second half of the workshop we’ll facilitate a broader conversation about political education and how it manifests within social movements.
Some questions we’re interested in:
- How does political education happen in different environments?
- What is the role of political education in the context of the archive and the work we do here?
- What is the role of education in social movement struggles?
- What is the relationship between education and organizing?
Interference Archive’s programs are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
