New to the Collection and Exhibition- Zapatista Combat Boots

An aspect in the struggle for autonomy is auto-sufficiency and  controlling the means of production. One such project in the Zapatista government centers, know as Caracoles, was a boot-making taller. I’ve just donated a pair of combat boots, produced in Oventic, Chiapas in 2004, for the La Autonomia es la Vida, La Sumisón es la Muerte A Celebration of 20 Years of the Zapatistas and the Autonomous Communities of Mexico.
