Just arrived in the mail: From Nightwatch to Now

We love getting things in the mail! And, this week we receive a copy of From Nightwatch to Now: How the History of Policing Affects Modern Day Law Enforcement.

From Nightwatch to Now is a project by Julia Howard; it brings together her research on the history of policing, which you can also access on her website through a research essay and a series of three zines. A few of us at Interference Archive have been diving into archival material related to the history of policing and community resistance to policing, and so it’s exciting to read through the work Julia has done.

The softcover version we received, which compiles these zines, includes great resource lists for further reading and learning.
